Windows Live Mail 2012 Setup

We do not support the use of Windows Live Mail 2012, which is mainly used in Windows Vista. We strongly suggest that you update to a newer operating system, as Microsoft does not offically support Windows Live Mail 2012 as of June 30, 2016 & Windows Vista as of April 11, 2017.

Click on the blue button at the top left of the program, go down to "Options" and select "Email Accounts..." On this next page, click on the "Add..." option to the right. When it gives you the option to select account type, choose "Email Account" and click "Next" On the new "Add your email accounts" page that pops up, start filling in your account information... Email address, password, Display name (this is usually your first and last name), and then put a check mark in "Manually configure server settings" ...click "Next"

On the "Configure server settings" page, fill in the options with these settings:

(IMAP will only download a copy of what's on the server. All emails stay on the server until you specifically delete and purge them. This is useful to use if you have more than one device checking your email.)
